Entitled "River of Wisdom - Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival", the exhibition currently being displayed at the Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong International Airport received overwhelming response. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is honored to invite Mr Yu Zheng, Project Director of the "Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" and currently Director of the Exhibition Business Department of Crystal Digital Technology Co. Ltd (Shanghai) to give a presentation on the "Interpretation of Chinese Cultural Masterpieces through Modern Technology".

As a global leading research university, HKUST strives for innovation and excellence. HKUST is devoted to providing a more comprehensive learning experience for students by presenting a series of cultural exchange activities.

Regarded as the "Star Exhibit in the Shanghai Expo", the Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival is 30 times the size of its original painting measuring 120 meters long and six meters high. It gives visitors a fantastic new experience by showing the details of the painting through animation. The painting illustrates the prosperous urban life during the day and at night in the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty 900 years ago. It is a masterpiece showing the beauty of ancient Chinese architecture and culture.

Mr Yu will share with the HKUST community the innovative concepts involved in creating the animation.
