The CLP Power Wind/Wave Tunnel Facility is an Engineering test
facility specialising in structural engineering (eg wind effects
on tall buildings) & environmental engineering research & applications.
We are now looking for dynamic & innovative researchers and
/ or engineers with backgrounds (structural engineering, applied
fluid
mechanics, CFD) related to, & an interest in, Wind Engineering.

Applicants should have a relevant higher degree
with at least 3 years of experience in bluff body aerodynamics and
wind tunnel model studies. The appointee should be able to take a
leading role in research and/or consulting projects, and to work
independently and under minimal supervision. Proficiency with
Microsoft Excel, MATLAB, AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP 2000 is an advantage.
Applicants should have a relevant degree in civil, mechanical,
aeronautical engineering with strong interest in wind engineering.
The appointee will assist in research and studies of wind effects
on buildings and structures, and air ventilation studies on urban
area. The appointee may enroll for a higher research degree.
Applicants for both posts (1) and (2) should have good communication
skills, and good command of spoken and written English. (Duration: 1
year)
Starting salary will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including leave,

To conduct research of
wind-induced building motion on human comfort using a
state-of-the-art tall building motion simulator. Appointment will be
commensurate with qualifications/experience. For RA,
bachelor/master’s degree in human factors, engineering, social
science, psychology or sports science. For RAsso, a PhD degree in a
relevant field. Candidates are expected to have good communication
skills, and a good command of spoken and written English.
Appointment is for one (1) year initially with an extension of up to
two (2) more years subject to performance, need and funding.
