Prof Chia-Wei Woo, President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, will deliver the first of a series of Executive Seminars to be sponsored by the Internet Business Consortium on Thursday, 23 April. He also serves on HKSAR's Commission on Strategic Development which is chaired by the Chief Executive Mr Tung Chee Hwa, and the Executive Committee of the Shanghai/Hong Kong Council for Development of Yangtze Economic Region. In expounding the concept of the Hong Kong Bay Area, he will be sharing his views on the role Hong Kong can play in the development of our region and all of China. The Internet Business Consortium was formed in January of this year by several global leaders in the IT industry, in conjunction with the CyberSpace Center of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Details of the First Internet Business Consortium Executive Seminar are as follows: Date: 23 April 1998 (Thursday)
