In our future, information will come into our home through the greatest communication infrastructure ever imagined. Plugging in our computer, or television, we can get whatever information we want at any time we want interactively. These digital information is going to broaden understanding, deepen knowledge, and enhance quality of life for the people it touches. We will be able to play chess with our friend living in the other side of the world, or watch movie which we can choose our own favourite ending of the movie without going to the rental shop, or buy stamps or milk without going out, or receive lecuter without going to the university... Willing to learn more about what our future will be, five students initiated an extra-curricular project, namely Project Foresight , nine months ago to explore what Information Superhighway is, how it will come and how our life will be changed by it. They had chosen the U.S., Hong Kong and the Mainland China to be the three places where their study focused. This Home Page is one of the results of Project Foresight. It aims at providing a very brief introduction to what "Information Superhighway" is, its development in the U.S., the Mainland China and Hong Kong and how our livies will be changed by it. This MAP releases some of their findings.
