Videotex

A generic term for a computer-based, interactive system to access and selectively view text and graphics on a terminal screen.

Minitel

The French Videotex system is popularly known as Minitel. In strict terms, however, Minitel refers only to the dedicated terminal itself. In truth, it is Teletel which refers to the whole system.
