Shell domain

Ver: 0

DESCRIPTION

For addressing Blow Molding and Thermoforming problems, Polydata allows for defining computations that are actually performed on a shell i.e. a series of 2D elements in a 3D space. To define such a simulation, the user must build a 3D mesh, the actual computation domain being defined as one of the boundaries of one (or a group of) subdomain(s) of this 3D mesh.

While the definition of this group of subdomain(s) is done in the 'Domain bearing a shell' menu, the current menu allows for the choice the boundary(ies) that support the shell domain.

OPTIONS

-2
Make the current domain empty
Cancels all previous selections.
In some situations, it is easier to build the shell domain in "additive" rather than "subtractive" mode.
-1
Upper level menu
Extension to all the boundaries
Complementary option to option -2
Removal of boundary/sub-domain i
Removes boundary "i"/intersection with sub-domain "i" from the current (shell) domain of the sub-task.
Addition of boundary/sub-domain j
Adds boundary "i"/intersection with sub-domain "i" from the current (shell)domain of the sub-task
