Flow boundary conditions

Ver: 1

DESCRIPTION

For flow problems, boundary conditions must be specified for the momentum equations, in terms of Dirichlet (prescibed velocity) or Neumann (prescribed surface force) conditions.

It allows the user to modify the type and parameters of the boundary conditions boundary set by boundary set.
By default, a zero velocity vector is prescribed on all boundary sets of the flow domain (including interfaces).

The title of each entry contains the current type of flow boundary condition and the boundary set number. The user can modify the current type of boundary condition and/or parameters of a particular boundary set.

OPTIONS

-1 Upper level menu
The current flow boundary conditions are accepted
0 Normal flow rate/pressure gradient imposed
This option is available only for channel flow calculations.
Select this entry to modify the boundary condition.
i Type_of_flow_bundary_conditions along boundary j
Mnemonic for the type of boundary condition and the boundary set number.
Select this entry to modify the boundary condition.
NOTES For viscoelastic flows, the hyperbolic character of the constitutive equations requires that extra-stress be imposed along entry sections. Extra-stresses are automatically imposed where inflow boundary conditions are selected.   SEE ALSO
