First order reaction rate imposed

Ver: 1

DESCRIPTION

To calculate the reaction rate of reactant on boundary set, Polyflow uses the following flux expression known as a first order reaction rate:

q(x) = Ksurf * c * x

where q(x) is the normal projection of molar flux of reactant, c is the molar concentration of reactant, x is the mole fraction of reactant and Ksurf is a coefficient calculated by

Ksurf = proba * ( Rg * T / 2 * pi * Mi ) ** 0.5

in which proba is the reaction probability, Rg is gas constant, T is temperature,
pi = 3.1415926

Mi is molecular weight of reactant.

Here, the user can modify the current values of parameters defining the coefficient Ksurf.

By default, proba = 1, Rg = 8.31430, Mi = 1
