F.E.M. task

Ver: 2

DESCRIPTION

It defines the attributes of the current F.E.M. task.

A F.E.M. task consists of :

- data about the numerical scheme
- data relative to the pressure and stream function (a single entry exists for all sub-tasks)
- one or more sub-tasks
The user defines new sub-tasks through this menu.
Material data, boundary conditions, etc., proper to each sub-task are NOT defined at this level.

OPTIONS

-1 Upper level menu
1 Numerical parameters
A single iterative scheme is used for all sub-tasks (all sub-problems) defined within the current task.
All numerical parameters, such as the maximum number of iterations, the convergence criteria, etc., are defined at this level.
2 Create a sub-task
It defines a new sub-task in a part of the domain. This entry must be selected even if the (single) sub-task covers the whole domain.
3 Redefine global parameters of a sub-task
Global parameters of a sub-task define the type of problem to be solved : (Generalized Newtonian, Generalized Newtonian Non-Isothermal, Viscoelastic, etc.)
4 Assign the pressure
It specifies the pressure level at one point when normal surface forces are not imposed
5 Assign the stream function
It specifies the stream function level at one point
7 Define species
Allows the user to define chemical components for a chemical reaction problem
8 Define reactions
Allows the user to define the different chemical reactions that can occur in the chemical system.
Only available when chemical species have been defined.
9 Define sub-models
Allows the user to define additional constraints on fields on any part of the mesh.
Let us note that there is absolutely no check of coherence between those additional constraints and the defined sub-tasks.
10 Constraint on free jet displacement
Allows the user to enable the free jet stabilisation technique for extrusion.  Only available when one extrusion sub-task has been created i.e. when there is at least one 3D flow problem including a 'Optimesh for extrusion' or a 'streamwise' remeshing or a 2D flow problem including a 'Spines' remeshing has been defined.
10+i Sub-task i
Each sub-task currently defined has an entry in this menu, with index 8+i.
For modifying the parameters of a previously defined sub-task, SELECT THE APPROPRIATE SUB-TASK NUMBER.
EXAMPLES To modify the power law index of a power law fluid defined in a sub-task named "Power law fluid", select option 11 in the following menu :
