Boundary conditions on the moving surface

Ver: 0

DESCRIPTION

For both free surfaces and moving interfaces, a geometrical degree-of-freedom (DOF) is introduced, associated with the kinematic condition.

This geometrical DOF requires one boundary condition at the fixed point (or fixed line in 3-D) of the interface. The fixed point (or line) of the interface is defined as the intersection of two boundary sets, namely the current one containing the free surface or the interface and an adjacent set.

When gamma > 0, a boundary condition must also be defined for the last point (or line in 3-D) of the interface. For this point, the user can impose either a position (an adjacent boundary set must be selected), or an angle (counter-clockwise, 0 being parallel to the X-axis).

OPTIONS
Boundary i'
This option is selected if the fixed point or the imposed angle is located at the intersection between the current boundary set and the boundary set i'.
j Subdomain j'
This option is selected if the fixed point or the imposed angle is located at the intersection between the current boundary set and the subdomain j'.
