How to view Chinese (or other language) with web browser?

In order to view Chinese (or other language) with Windows 2000, one has to set the Character Set of the browser to that particular language, for example:

Netscape: View -> Character Set -> Chinese

Internet Explorer: Internet Option -> Languages -> Chinese


Can I input Chinese with MS Office?

Yes. You can input Chinese with Office tools like Word, Excel except that there are limited Chinese fonts by default.


Should I install Windows 2000 if I am using Chinese Windows 98?

Although Windows 2000 supports multiple language, there are limited input methods and Chinese fonts available with the Chinese Language Pack. Our recommendation is to stay with the Chinese Windows system if your job nature requires to edit Chinese characters frequently.


Which language locale should I choose as system default?

If you required to edit Chinese character very often and decided to run Windows 2000 together with the Chinese Language Pack, it is best for you to configure the language locale of your Windows 2000 to Chinese.
