Based on Java technology, Nokia WAP Toolkit provides a way for WML content developers to browse, develop and debug WML pages. You may use the Nokia 7110 emulator to virtually browse the WML world and develop your own WML pages.
To download and install Nokia WAP Toolkit 2.1:
- Get Java Run Time 1.3.1 for Windows (5.3MB) or later and install it.
- Get Nokia WAP ToolKit v2.1 for Windows at Nokia and install it.
The following is the configuration information for Nokia 7110 Emulator without using WAP gateway. With such configuration, you can test the WML pages on any web server.
- Start Nokia WAP Toolkit.
- Make sure you have selected "Nokia 7110 (WAP 1.1)" as device. You can do so as illustrated below:
- Now in "ToolKit" menu, select "Device Setting ...".
- Make sure you have typed "127.0.0.1" as the gateway address in the "Profiles" setting. See the following illustration.
In the Nokia ToolKit, select the "WML Deck" tab at the bottom and type the URL for WAP site at the "location" on the top of the screen.
Then you will find the 7110 emulator displays the WML content.
