Channel Subscription

With the portal technology, you can subscribe to other available channels that you are interested in or remove any unnecessary channels from your portal. In addition, new applications (channels) will be added and you can subscribe to any of them when they are available.

Add (or subscribe ) a channel:

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab that you want to add a new channel such as the MyPage tab in example shown below.
3. Click New Channel (depending on your preferred position) under the column that you want to add the new channel.


4. Select a category to browse (e.g. select the option Select All) and then click go.


5. Select a channel that you wish to add from the list.
6. Click Add to add the selected channel.
7. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

Delete (or un-subscribe) a channel:

1. Simply click on the remove button ( or ) on the top right corner of the channel.

Channel Control Buttons

Symbol  (UST Skin)	Symbol  ( Gold skin)	Function	Explanation
		Focus	Maximize the display of a channel.
		Minimize	Channel appears as a title bar.
		Maximum	Revert the effect of "Minimize". Channel resumes to its original size.
		Remove	Remove the channel from the user's portal.

Customize the Layout

Move a Channel

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab under which you want to move the channel.
3. Simply click on the Move buttons subsequently if you move channels within the same tab.


4. To move a channel across different tabs or to the exact position:
1. Select the channel that you want to move by click on the Select button.


2. Click on the option Move this channel to a different location.


3. Select the destination tab of your moving channel if it is differ from your selected tab.
4. Click specific Move Channel to this location such as the example shown below.


5. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

Add a New Tab

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click New Tab.


3. Enter a name for the new tab.
4. Select a position for it, e.g. the right most position.
5. Click Submit.
6. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

Delete a Tab

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab that you want to delete.
3. Click Delete this tab.
4. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

Modify a Tab

There are other options to modify the tab including:

• Make this the default "Active Tab" (the tab that is selected when you log into the portal)
• Rename the tab
• Move this tab to a different position

To modify the tab, simply

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab that you want to modify.
3. Select the modification option by click on the corresponding link.
4. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

Arrange Tab Layout

A. Add column

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab that you want to add in a new column such as the MyTest tab in example shown below.
3. Click New Column.


4. Click Select Column such as the example shown below.


5. Change the width of the columns (e.g. 40 %, 60% and total column width should sum up to 100%)
6. Click Submit.
7. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

B. Delete column

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab that you want to delete a column.
3. Click specific Select Column that you want to delete.
4. Click the option "Delete this column" to delete the column.
5. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

C. Move column

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab that you want to move a column.
3. Simply click on the Move buttons if you are move channels within the same tab.


4. To move column across different tabs or to the exact position:
1. Click specific Select Column that you want to move.
2. Select the option Move this column to a different location.
3. Select the destination tab of your moving column if it is differ from your selected tab.
4. Click specific Move Column Here such as the example shown below.


5. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

D. Change the width of the columns

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click the tab that you want to modify the column width.
3. Click specific Select Column that you want to modify.
4. Select the option Change the width of the columns.
5. Change the width of the columns (e.g. 40 %, 60% and total column width should sum up to 100%)
6. Click Submit.
7. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

Revert to Default Layout

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click Revert to default layout.


3. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.

Please note that this option is irreversible. All your previous customization will be lost after choosing this option.

Choose a Different Color Skin

1. Click Preferences on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click Choose a skin.
3. Select your preferred skin option.
4. Click Apply.
5. Click the button  returning to the homepage of myPortal upon finished.
