"People Search" channel available on HKUST myPortal

Users of the HKUST myPortal can now subscribe to a new channel - the "People Search" channel, to find / modify contact information of HKUST members. With the People Search channel, you can

• find HKUST member's email address, department, telephone number, room number, etc.
• modify personal details like your Chinese name, home page URL, FAX, mobile, etc.
• modify individual staff information like functional titles, etc. (limited to department's IDLP)

After you have logged on "myPortal", you will find the People Search channel located under the Main tab if you are using the default portal layout. In case you have ever customized your portal's settings, you can simply subscribe to the People Search channel by referring to the page Customizing myPortal.

Upon finished your search, you can simply click on the button returning to the portal home page.

For the existing "People Search / Department Search" channel, it will be changed to "Department Search" as the people search function will be replaced by the new "People Search" channel. Please watch out our announcements as more and more services (or channels) will be added to HKUST myPortal.
