Certification Registration
To use your Personal (Smartcard) e-Cert with Internet Explorer or Outlook, you
may simply register it with the the SmartrUST Card Manager:
- After you have inserted your HKUST Card into the card reader, invoke SmartrUST
Card Manager
- Connect with your HKUST card by click on the Connect button
- Select the require certificate
- Register your Personal (Smartcard) e-Cert by click on the Register to
PC button
- Choose the For temporary use option if you are just using your
Personal (Smartcard) e-Cert for a session (e.g. with PCs at computer barn),
or
- Choose the For permanent use option if you are just using your
Personal (Smartcard) e-Cert on your own computer (e.g. with PCs at home)
