Signing email with Outlook / Outlook Express:
In order to sign e-mail message, you must have your personal digital certificate
selected with Outlook. Your digital signature enables recipients to verify
that you actually sent the message.
The signed icon
indicates that a message has been signed. When you sign a message, this
icon is displayed in the lower right corner of the address pane of Outlook
Express. When you receive a signed message, the signed icon is displayed
when you view the message in Outlook Express/ Outlook.
You can sign individual messages or configure your e-mail security options
to automatically sign all of the e-mail messages you send.

Signing Individual Messages with Outlook
To sign an outgoing message:
- Compose your message as usual.
- Click on the Options... button in the message window.
- Click Security Settings... button (for Outlook 2002)
- Enable the Add digital signature to outgoing message checkbox.
- Close the Message Options window.
- Click on the Send button to send your message.
Automatically Signing All Outgoing Messages with Outlook
To configure your e-mail preferences to sign all messages:

In Microsoft Outlook, select Options from the Tools menu.

Click on the Security tab.

Enable the Add digital signature to outgoing messages checkbox.
Signing Individual Messages with
Outlook Express
To sign an outgoing message:

Compose your message as usual.

When you finished, click on the Digitally Sign Message button. The
signed icon is displayed in the right corner of the address pane
indicating that the message is encrypted.

Click on the Send button to send your message.
Automatically Signing All Outgoing Messages with Outlook Express
