Apply for a Digital Certificate
HKUST CA now supports 4 distinct classes of certification services. Each
class of certificate provides specific functionality and security features.
Before applying for a digital certificate, users are recommended to read
our Certifcation Practice Statement (CPS)
carefully and also the Accept HKUST CA's
Certificates web page.

Application Procedure
You can go to the HKUST Certificate Management System
(CMS) where step-by-step instructions will guide you to get a Digital Certificate.
You can perform the application either with Netscape Communicator or Internet
Explorer.

- Please store your Personal e-Cert
on machines which are dedicated for your own use only.
- Never store your digital certificate
on machines in public area such as
- PCs in your office which are
shared with other users
- PCs at computer barns, departmental
lab, etc.
