Unverified Signature would be shown when viewing a signed message with attachments. It becomes Signed when the reader clicks into it.
The problem is only observed with Netscape Messenger when reading a signed email with attachments in which the MIME parser have not process MIME attachment before opening the message. The problem is not observed with Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook.
