Overview

With the increasing popularity of notebooks nowadays, network access is deemed to be a very essential facility for a visitor or a traveller.  To cope with this need, ITSC now provides the network access to those visitors staying in the 40 Serviced Apartments of the Visitor Center (in the Tower C of University Apartment) which is operated by the Campus Services Office.

Visitors can now simply connect their notebooks (or handhelds) to the Internet through the network connection port in their serviced apartments.  As such, users can hook on their computers to the network to check their emails and do other work remotely.   Providing the Internet access can also allow the users to get in touch with their hometown news by reading online newspapers.

Hardware Requirements

In order to enjoy this service, you need to have the following hardware:

• a portable PC (e.g. notebook computer)

• a Cat 5 UTP network cable
