Direct LDAP access from outside campus is blocked

Please note that direct LDAP access from outside campus is blocked because of server performance reasons.

If you are using

• Internet connections outside the HKUST domain (e.g. Broadband) and
• HKUST LDAP server as the Directory Server on your email client,

you will not be able to retrieve any entries from the directory server. In case you are required to look up email addresses of HKUST users, please kindly use the Communications Directory under the Intranet page.
