Group-1 Classrooms

This section describe how to connect your notebook to the AV system and the Internet in the following classrooms:

Room 1402, 1403, 1505, 2303, 2306, 2405, 2407, 2464, 2503, 4333 & 4334

Showing your notebook video on the venue's video projector

Requirements:

Connection steps:

  1. Connect the notebook to video projection system.

    1. Locate the VGA socket under the keyboard drawer of the bench.

    2. Connect the VGA socket to your notebook's external VGA port with your VGA cable.

  2. Select notebook as video source on classroom's A/V system.
    1. Switch on AV System Power Switch.
    2. Locate the AV Command Panel (Type A, Type B) on the bench and turn on the video projector by press video projector ON (Type A, Type B).
    3. Switch the video projector source to the notebook by press Notebook or External Computer button.
  3. Enable the external video output of your notebook computer.

Connecting your notebook to the Internet

Requirements:

Connection steps:

  1. Before a notebook can be connected to the Internet, its ethernet address must be registered with our DHCP service. For more information, please refer to Registration of Ethernet Address.

  2. Locate the network socket underneath the keyboard drawer of the instructor's bench.
  3. Connect the network socket with your UTP network cable to the notebook's ethernet port.

Amplifying your notebook audio in the venue's audio amplifier

Requirements:

Connection steps:

  1. Connect your audio cable to the audio out of your computer and the external input "Audio (L) and Audio (R)" on the bench.

  2. To adjust the volume of the notebook on the amplifier, simply adjust the sound volume on your notebook.
