How to Install and View HKUST EUDC
HKUST EUDC is now available in various Chinese Systems
on PC platform. Detailed description can be found in the document "HKUST
End User Defined Characters". To view these characters on:
DOS ETen System (倚天中文系統)
This is where HKUST EUDC originates. All the EUDC Chinese
characters have been incorporated into the system. One can type the characters
via various Chinese input methods.
Chinese Windows 3.1 (微軟中文視窗 3.1)
During the rollout of Chinese Windows, we have incorporated
in the system 140 HKUST EUDC (out of current 152 HKUST EUDC). One may use
these characters on Chinese Windows 3.1 system of any PC in staff setup.
Note : HKUST EUDC is not available on Chinese
Windows 3.1 in Computer Barns.
RichWin 4.2+ (利方多元系統)
RichWin 4.2+/97 cannot support HKUST EUDC. However, you
may access to a rich set of EUDC defined in GCCS (Government Chinese Character
Set). Detailed description can also be found in the document "HKUST
End User Defined Characters".
Note : If you are using
RichWin 4.2+/97 on Windows 95 environment, you must install
an extra font in RichWin 4.2+/97 before accessing to the GCCS. But if
you are using RichWin 4.2+ on Windows 3.1 environment, GCCS has already
been incorporated into the system.
Chinese Windows 95 (微軟中文視窗 95)

If you are using Chinese Windows 95 at Computer Barns, then HKUST EUDC has
already been incorporated into the system

If you are using Chinese Windows 95 at staff area, then you need to install
the HKUST EUDC into your system. The installation program can be found in:

k:\setup\usteudc\setup.exe
Upon successful installation, you will be able to view and use these
characters.
