RichWin 97 Pro Network Release

ITSC is please to announce the release of RichWin 97 Pro in HKUST PC environment.
With this Chinese Extension Software installed, users can enjoy the full Chinese capabilities in English Windows environment. Improvement over previous RichWin 4.2+ includes:

• Better Support for Web Pages with JAVA applet
  For example, the JUPAS web pages can now be viewed with RichWin 97 and NetScape.
• It is now compatible with Internet Explorer 4.x
• It now supports Windows 98.
• Incorporated HKSAR GCCS (Government Chinese Character Set)
• More True Type Fonts for High Quality Laser Printing (but most of it are Simplified Chinese fonts.
• Bi-Lingual User Interface

To install RichWin 97 Pro in Windows 95

Installing RichWin 97 Pro Program:

YOU MUST UNINSTALL CURRENT RICHWIN BEFORE INSTALLING RICHWIN 97.

TO DO SO, SELECT "Start" -> "Programs" -> "RichWin" -> "Uninstall".

DO NOT UNINSTALL RICHWIN BY DRAGGING RICHWIN FOLDER TO TRASH. IT WILL CRASH YOUR SYSTEM WHEN INSTALLING NEW RICHWIN 97 PRO.

1. Run k:\setup\richwin.97\setup\setup.exe to start the installation program.
2. Follow the instruction to install RichWin.
• The serial no. for installation can be found in the file k:\setup\richwin.97\serialno.txt
• You may install RichWin to the default directory (i.e. C:\RW97PRO)
3. Restart Windows 95/98 to make changes effective.

Installing Additional Font:

Copy the following file: MIN11L.TTF from "k:\setup\RichWin.97\HKSAR GCCS Font" (This will install the font with HKSAR GCCS) Files from "k:\setup\RichWin.97\setup\fonts" (These are additional fonts provided by RichWin) to the font directory of RichWin directory (say c:\RW97PRO\font)
Start RichWin 97
Click the  button in the RichWin toolbar and select "" -> "".
Select "" and click "".
Change directory to RichWin Font Directory (say c:\RW97PRO\fonts).
Select "" or others RichWin fonts in the left list box and click ""
