HKUST PhD Programs
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
HKUST offers research postgraduate programs in five Schools and an Interdisciplinary Programs Office: Science, Engineering, Business and Management, Humanities and Social Science, Interdisciplinary Programs Office and the HKUST Fok Ying Tung Graduate School.
PhD programs require a combination of coursework and independent research, with major emphasis placed on research. The normal duration of study of full-time PhD programs is three years if a relevant research master's degree is earned prior to entering the PhD program, or four years with a first degree.
