Objective 
With the rapid expansion of the Asia-Pacific economy in the last decade and now the recovery after the recent downturn, severe demands will be placed on energy services and the environment. The future will see a continuing challenge to balance growth with sustainability in the economic, social and environmental sectors. APCSEET 2000, a sequel to the immensely successful APCSEET conferences held in Singapore and Australia, aims to meet this challenge by addressing the pertinent issues related to sustainable energy and environmental protection. 

The conference will provide a forum for participants from academia, industry and government agencies to interact, report on research in progress, and identify opportunities in the fields of sustainable energy and environmental technology.

 Papers & Posters 
Paper and poster presentation submissions are invited for consideration by the technical program committee. 
Technical papers are sought in, but not limited to, the following areas: 
• Energy conservation and renewable energy 
• Clean and efficient use of resources 
• Air pollution and air toxics control 
• Greenhouse gas mitigation technology 
• Wastewater and solid waste management 
• Cleaner production and ISO 14000 
• Energy and environmental policy and education 

Potential oral and poster presenters should:
• Forward a 300-500 word abstract plus 2 (two) copies 
• Indicate preferred presentation format, oral or poster
• Clearly state title of presentation 
• Include authors' names, affiliations, addresses, fax and 
email for correspondence 
• Complete and return the attached form to the conference secretariat 

All papers will be peer reviewed and accepted authors will be required to submit a full paper for publication in the bound conference proceedings volume. This volume will be distributed to delegates at the conference.
