Alumni Night in Shenzhen
Shenzhen, a city separated from Hong Kong only by a river,
is no doubt a metaphor for the new China. Dubbed as
the "Window to the World", the city is developing
into a hub for modern services and high tech industries.
Do you know that a substantial number of alumni are propelling
the growth of the city in a myriad of sectors such as banking,
accounting, engineering, marketing, manufacturing and high
tech R&D.
The Alumni Night in Shenzhen will bring together alumni of
diverse backgrounds, from entrepreneurs, multinational companies'
executives to investors and more. Jointly organized
by HKUST Alumni Association and HKUST Alumni Team, we are
glad to have invited Vice-President
of HKUST, Dr Eden Woon to be the honorable guest
of this landmark event.
What's more? In addition to mixing and mingling at the poolside,
we have also invited Prof Kang Feiyu and Mr Frank Wang to
share with us the working life in Shenzhen. Prof Kang
Feiyu, PhD(MECH) alumnus, is currently Executive Deputy Dean
of Tsinghua Graduate School in Shenzhen who administers executive
education programs for hundreds of industrial partners in
the area. Mr Frank Wang, MPhil(ELEC) alumnus, has founded
DJI Innovations and iFlight Technology upon graduation. He
successfully turned his invention - unmanned helicopter into
a promising business.
You are cordially invited to join the party
and meet your HKUST buddies around. Don't forget to stay tuned
to the fabulous 20th anniversary celebratory programs by visiting
